Adani Airport Holdings has officially ended its partnership with Turkish firm Celebi for ground handling services at two major Indian airports — Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) in Ahmedabad. The move comes in the wake of the Government of India's decision to revoke Celebi's security clearance, which led to the termination of their ground handling concession agreements at both locations.

A spokesperson for Adani Airport confirmed the decision, stating that Celebi has been instructed to hand over all ground handling facilities to ensure the smooth continuation of services at these airports. In an effort to ensure minimal disruption, the company reassured that all existing employees of Celebi at both airports would be transferred to the new ground handling agencies. These employees will retain their current terms and conditions of employment during the transition.
This shift in operations marks a significant change for both CSMIA and SVPIA, which are among the busiest airports in India. The revocation of Celebi's security clearance has raised questions about the broader implications for international collaborations in India's airport management sector, as the country seeks to modernize and improve its aviation infrastructure.
Adani Airport Holdings has not yet announced the identity of the new ground handling agencies that will take over the operations at Mumbai and Ahmedabad airports. However, this move underscores the company's growing role in India's airport management sector and its commitment to ensuring high standards of security and service at these major transportation hubs.
